The paper presents the results of realized project aimed on development Russian non-magnetic steel for borehole equipment. Development specialists high-tech equipment RF fuel and energy complex (FEC) have noted complete dependence deliveries foreign steels from EU countries, China, USA. This delivery import products increases risks both operating activity (due to trade restrictions) economical efficiency FEC enterprises (Russian ruble exchange rate grew by ~30 % Euro in 2020). It concerns users mineral resources, oil service companies, developers manufacturers boreholes drilling as well geophysical researches. Possibility establishment production Russia was analyzed, plan realization this prepared, technical were evaluated, industrial demand assessed, requirements testing techniques developed. cooperation chain including purchaser, manufacturer bar producer itself formed 2020. Three pilot melts (totally 18 t) conducted bars different diameters (from 35 140 mm) forged. plant laboratorial displayed following parameters: yield strength 1,093 MPa; tensile 1,155 impact 242 J. also characterized resistance intergranular corrosion. Relative magnetic permeability made 1.003. tests accordance with ASTM techniques. range fabricated: subs Flow-Sub, heavy-weight drill collars etc. At present time field takes place gas provenances Western Siberia, Yamal Volga-Ural region within framework wells.
